DESCRIPTION

Implemented within the JOC framework, this project focused on addressing flooding concerns experienced by residents during storm events. The key components included the installation of a new elliptical RCP drainage culvert beneath Patton Rd and the establishment of new drainage channels along the same road.

To redirect flow into the drainage crossing, a 29” x 45” RGCP elliptical pipe and a shotcrete lined drainage channel were installed along the north side of the roadway. The drainage crossing beneath Patton Road utilized dual alignments of 14” x 23” RGCP elliptical pipe, complemented by the installation of headwalls and a rip-rap outflow channel on the southern end. As part of the project, the roadway underwent repaving and striping at the crossing. Throughout construction, Banicki ensured the exposure and protection of an existing potable waterline and streetlight conduit.
